Washington State Tribal Policy, DCS Tribal Relations, and DSHS Administrative Policy 7.01

The history and content of the Indian Child Welfare Act, Centennial Accord, the Millennium Agreement, and DSHS Administrative Policy 7.01 were presented to committee members. The Tribal-State Agreement was also discussed.

Transformation Design Committee (TDC) Responsibilities

Each committee member was provided with a list of responsibilities or "To Do's." The list includes all of the statutory requirements of the TDC.

Secretary Dreyfus requested the committee's suggestions for principles that could guide the Department of Social and Human Services in converting to performance-based contracts.

Draft Ground Rules were reviewed with Committee members. Members are to review the rules in preparation for voting to adopt them at the next meeting.
